An advice for a high school student
Today, I am going to write a little advice for all the high schools students who are thinking about to go to college.
Personally, my college experience had been mark with the contemporany health situation that we are living. I haven´t been in my college in a face to face scenario, so I don't have that type of experience.
In this virtual college that I am assisting, I recommend learning all about Google Drive, who has been my best friend this semester. The possibility of a limitless "hard drive" (at least if you are in Universidad de Chile) is extremely useful. I have all the ppts of the classes and pdfs organized by different variables, and my notes about them, without the need of wrtitting it in paper. So I am decreasing the use of paper to a minimum. Which is helpful to avoid waste.
Other recommendation is trying to develop study habits, because there are weeks where are a lot of homeworks and test together, so it is important that you don´t have to start study or doing de homework the day before the day of the delivery. Also, you should try to familiarize yourself with reading, because there is a lot of that. Much more than in high school.
And finally, try to be open minded because in college there is a lot of people with different opinions and ideas. This point is important when you have to participate in class or in a workgroup.
I hope that you can take this little advice useful.
Good advices. In this "virtual college", I think less paper, for reading or taking notes it's an advantage (but your eye-health it's in serious danger)
ReplyDeleteI think we have had similar experiences haha, good advice, I will apply it in my day to day <3
ReplyDeleteHello, I agree with your recommendations, however I am very sorry that you still do not know the university space, especially that of Juan Gomez Milla. I hope you can meet him soon and nurture yourself in all the diversity that exists of people and how fun and incredible it is to meet people with incredible talents
ReplyDeleteGreat suggestions, althought, i think that many students go to the college without even know if they want go to the college, or if they choosed an apropiate career, so a complementary suggest may be that they resolve that first
